Today is my birthday. I am 27. (On paper). Lots has happened, and thought I should document those things, as well as go on to document those things I am hoping for on my next journey around the sun. Here it goes:
What happened to me at 26:
- Graduated the EA program with honours
- Won a college medal at grad
- Won an academic award at grad
- Got hired by the HWDSB
- Had the BEST summer at camp
- Was introduced to and fell in love with Parkview Secondary, and all the students and staff which comprise it
- Strengthened my relationship with my sister
- Strengthened my relationships with my friends
- Met tons of amazing new people
- Ran the Around the Bay Road Race
- Ran the Road 2 Hope Marathon
- Got to see both Sarah Brightman AND DMB <3
- Got to visit a lot of different schools and meet A LOT of amazing students
- Got to see snow (in a blizzard like fashion) in Muskoka on Thanksgiving
- Overcame many running injuries (and continue to this very moment :S)
What I hope for in year 27:
- To be happy in everything I do
- To continue to do my best at work and in life in general
- To run Around the Bay in 3hrs (last year was 3:30)
I know that's not much to hope for in the next year, but really... how do I know what's coming my way? If I just keep to these two philosophies, I can't really go wrong, right? I hope not.
