I started my year going here and there as a regular supply, but quickly got several days at Parkview (home sweet home!) right away. That turned into a 2 month LTO, which brought me into December (p.s. I was hired the first week of September, but wasn't able to get my paper work together until October. My first day of supply was October 9th). The very next day, I accepted a job at Glenwood, a school for students with developmental disabilities in West Hamilton. THAT turned into an LTO in Room 10 which lasted until March! I worked the following Monday at Parkview, and on Tuesday accepted at job at R.L. Hyslop, which turned into another LTO for alternate days with the cutest hunk of kindergarten boy I have ever met (I miss Joshua TREMENDOUSLY!). I supplied at Parkview most other days, and the odd day here and there (Sherwood's DD class also brightened my heart, amazing students in that class!). So that brings us to today.... I had my day at Glenwood booked several weeks ago, and what a great school to conclude my first year as a working EA.
The students I have met this year were out of this world amazing, and I really think I am a better person and EA having met them.
The staff I have met and had the privilege of working with this year were ALSO out of this world amazing, and I am really very lucky to have had them mentor me and share their experience and knowledge with me.
I love my job, it's about all I can say!
