1. Tomorrow is my first day supplying like a big girl in a school. It's just a half day in the morning, and I'm ok with it. I think this will serve as a nice little "introduction/initiation" to what the "supply life" will be like. Although, I'm aiming to have a permanent position at some school somewhere as soon as it can happen (preferably Parkview *knocks on wood*). In the afternoon, I am rewarding myself with a free psychology lecture at McMaster. Someone told me not to go all out like that, but that's just being a sarcastic jack ass, and when I learn all my psychology information I plan to diagnose them and tell them to shove it :D.
2. I'm running 35k veeeeeerrrryyyy early on Saturday morning, and I'm not exactly sure how this is going to play out.... I'm bartending the Bulldogs home opener tomorrow night, and will be busy all day. Fueling properly is going to be a challenge. So I've already made my pasta-kidney bean concoction, and I'm hoping it doesn't taste tooo crappy by the time I eat it at work tomorrow night. Also, we're starting at 7, meaning I'll have to get up around 6ish. After working late the night before. If nothing else, Saturday morning is going to be a character challenging kind of day. I'm up for it!
3. I'M SO PUMPED FOR ROAD 2 HOPE! I ran the first half of the course last week and think it is really nice; flat, easy, and there's lots to look at (and therefore distract from the pain I presume will set in around kilometer 30ish. I'm not running to win, or to even come in 1,000th or 2,000th. I'm doing this because I just really love to run. I want to do this for myself, to show myself what I am capable of. Long runs like this really bring about a sense of self-satisfaction, and no matter what my finishing place is or what my time is, I know I'm going to be very proud of myself as I lye on the massage table drinking an entire carton of chocolate milk. Anyway, I'm really excited.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone :)
XO
Christine
